Located south of Chiang Mai, the ancient town of Lampoon has managed to retain its traditional charms over the years. It is home to many ancient temples, including Wat Phrathat Haripoonchai, which boasts a Pagoda housing a relic of the Lord Buddha. Wat Jamathevi is situated just outside the western gate of Lampoon and it too has an interesting Pagoda, this one showing a Mon tribal influence. Both temples are over 1000 years old and a visiting them is like taking a step through time. This tour concludes with a visit to Pa Sang, a village famed for its local industries including Thai cotton weaving.
